Getting Started

What is Adelkrieg?

Adelkrieg is a browser-based multiplayer grand strategy game. However, it can also be used for multiple other purposes: geopolitical simulations, D&D campaigns, etc.

How do I create an account?

Click Sign In and then Register to create your account. During early access, you will need an invite code from an existing player.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Adelkrieg runs entirely in your browser — no downloads or plugins required.

What are alliances?

Alliances are an optional game feature. When enabled, players can request, accept, or break alliances with each other during a match.

Can I play against AI?

Yes. Lobby owners can add AI opponents with different personas and adjustable difficulty levels.

Lobbies

How do I create a lobby?

Go to the Lobbies page and click Create Lobby. From there you can configure the map, player count, visibility, turn timer, and other settings.

How do I join a lobby?

Browse public lobbies on the Lobbies page, or enter an invite code to join a private lobby directly.

Can I spectate games?

Yes, if the lobby owner has enabled spectator access. Look for the Spectate button on any eligible lobby.

Maps

How do I create a custom map?

Use the built-in Map Editor to design your own worlds with custom territories, adjacencies, and visual layers. Once finished, submit your map for review.

The Map Editor is currently under development, and map submissions are currently disabled.

What maps are available?

Browse official and community-created maps on the Maps page. New maps will be added regularly by both the team and the community.

Supporter

What do supporters get?

Supporters receive perks including an exclusive badge, a higher friend limit, more weekly invite codes, bigger spectator limits, custom profile options, and more.

How do I become a supporter?

Visit the Supporter page to view available tiers and subscribe. Your support helps fund ongoing development.

Account

Can I change my username?

Supporters can change their username periodically. See the Supporter page for more information.
